The most important evaluation criteria for web content is uniqueness and freshness.

No, SE would not consider it duplicate contents. i would suggest to socialize one of your source either go for ezine monterization or for your personal blog.

I'm a believer in putting your content on your site and building around that core. Perhaps after you have it on your site a little while then do a quick re-write to submit to article directories. Sure articles on other sites can get you some traffic but the flip side is what are the people coming to if you are putting all your articles on ezine or another directory but have little or no content of your own.

There are lots of ways to get traffic and having unique articles on your site creates longterm value. I'd add too that a lot would have to do with the goals of your site. If you are building a publishing oriented site that will make money off of people coming to your site and you selling advertising like Google Adsense... then I would lean toward having the article on your site. You really need the content to build a site presence and have people coming back. On the other hand if you are selling a product and basically need eyeballs coming there to see your one page sales pitch, then maybe putting articles up on other sites to feed that sales page is a good idea.

This is what Google webmaster have to say if you notice that scraper sites rank higher than the original source:

Quote:
Some webmasters have asked what could cause scraped content to rank higher than the original source. That should be a rare case, but if you do find yourself in this situation:

* Check if your content is still accessible to our crawlers. You might unintentionally have blocked access to parts of your content in your robots.txt file.

* You can look in your Sitemap file to see if you made changes for the particular content which has been scraped.

* Check if your site is in line with our webmaster guidelines.
You can find this info here: http://googlewebmastercentral.blogsp...-scrapers.html

I read that the definition of duplicate content was submitting the same article over and over to the same directory or site. Submitting the one article to different sites isn't considered duplicate, but just to cover yourself, you can always use an article spinner, change the title a little then it looks like a totally different article.

It's the uniqueness,I think you can submit the articles on your website, and then some days later, post them to your blogs.

I've read some article regarding duplicate content, and it is actually not as anyone can think that your site will be penalized having a duplicate content.

submitting your article into many article directories will not be counted as a duplicate content...

The main reason is that if any content published first time and indexed then after that index any publication of the copy is duplicate, however your duplicate copy is also indexed and it depends on the page rank and other quality of the page to be shown in the SERP position.

If one article was not indexed from different sites then you wouldn't have seen many results of one article in search engine.

What I am trying to say is of copy one paragraph from articlesbase.com and put it in Google with quote then you would find that many directories are displaying that paragraph, it means the article was submitted to many directories. And multiple sites were indexed.

So no matter if you publish on your site after submitting the article to directory then it may be indexed.

If those article directories approve your article, search engines will index it without any problem.
