Hi all,

Keyword are important part of the webpage and require the visitor attraction but repeating the same keyword many times in the web page is keyword stuffing. Can it be the reason to penalize the site by Google?

thanks

What did you mean by keyword require the visitor attraction?

Many people says that google penalize or even completely remove site that repeat the same keyword many times(keyword stuffing).
However if you write content that readable for people and not for SEO i think there won't be any problem

Repeating a word 1,000 times would be "keyword stuffing" and may earn a "penalty", ....

.... eventually.

I guess you meant "key words catch the visitor attention"
and it's normal that if you overload your site or article or something with the same key word it will be inaffective in the end

I hate that there exists a possibility of obtaining a penalty for keyword stuffing. You can have two different sets of text. Both being just fine for visitors. Once can use a keyword a ton and the other only a couple of times. So, the idea that a page should just be removed from the index because of some algo determine over use of a word is bad news.

Come on!!

"overuse" of a word is when it is (ab)used hundreds or thousands of times in a document. NOT when it is repeated four or five times. So it's not something that can be done "accidentally"

Most search engines will flag sites with an unusually high number of keywords, terming them spam, rather than legitimate websites

^Really? Lets take yellow pages as an example, the word "Road" "Lane" "Drive" "Close" are repeated quite a few times per page, I assume they have been flagged as a spam site, haven't they?

Keyword Stuffing refers to the practice of loading a webpage with keywords in an attempt to manipulate a site's ranking in search results. Filling pages with keywords results in a negative user experience, and can harm your site's ranking.

^At least credit google with your copy and paste even if you did omit the word "Google" out of it.

Google rarely penalizes people for keyword stuffing because of content on the page. Keyword stuffed page content would be practically unreadable. People would have to be idiots to repeat a word often enough in the content to get penalized for keyword stuff... like repeating the same word every 6 or 7 words. You can repeat a keyword 20,30, 50 times on a page without fear of being penalized assuming there is enough other content on the page. it really depends on the density of that keyword.

Keyword stuffing more frequently refers to stuffing the <meta name="keywords"> element with tons of keywords. Even though Google doesn't consider the meta keywords element in their ranking algorithm, if you're caught stuffing the element w/ tons of keywords you "can" get penalized.

Keyword is a black hat method. Why need to apply it? Not unless you don't care on your website!

I think whether your site is using keyword stuffing depends on the density of your keywords.

If your copy is long, it might be ok if you repeat the keywords several time. All you need to pay attention to is the readability of your article, or rather the keyword density.

It should normally be around 2-5%. You can use a free keyword density tool to check the density.

Keyword stuffing is a relative concept. If your content is long and readable. You can of course add lots of keywords in it.

Just make sure your content is search engine and visitor friendly.

Depends on the % of stuffing. If you are careful enough, google should not penalize you.
