Ok, I have seen many, many articles and threads about the magical PR update and how some are happy and some are sad. So I have a little story for you all:
I have a site that is about 3yrs old, it is strictly and informational blog having to do with home improvement (no products). On this last update, it went from a PR3 down to a PR2 for the home page and all 1000 internal pages are either PR0 or PR n/a.
This site ranks for some HIGHLY competitive terms, gets 90k unique visitors and over 200k pageviews monthly.
I have multiple revenue sources for it, but just to tell you about one of them (Adsense) provides over $2k per month, and that is only 40-50% of the revenue for the site.
I have never posted a signature link in a forum to this site, never posted a comment on a do-follow blog, and I don't submit to ANY article directories.
So, tell me why I should worry about that Toolbar PageRank again?
PageRank does not = money, plain and simple.
