Probably a basic question but is there something I need to do to get my pages ranked by Google? I mean I submitted my site and uploaded a site map but my pages say for example http://www.guitarandsong.com/mysongs.htm
Says current page not ranked by google. My home page has been for some time and I know its not really that important but should it at least be ranked in some way.

what type of SEO you are doing?What technique?Are you doing something to make your site index? Its not an easy job it requires patients and understand the google algorithm how everything work.

No, it is not the case.
If you have particularly targeted at that page and get enough backlinks for it then you might get rank.

Understand now. I take it because most of my links on other sites and forums, blog comments all point back to my homepage that gets ranked but other pages in my site don't unless I put links on other sites, forums, blog comments, etc... back to those pages.

Are you pertaining to Google SERP or being indexed by Google? If you are looking for your rankings in Google for that page, you need to gain more related backlinks for that page with your targeted keywords for that page. Being index??? That page was already indexed by Google.
