I started a new website about 12 weeks ago. I have several high quality links established to the site. All major search engines showed up and I get excellent results from MSN and Yahoo (page 1 for main keyword search). Google bot showed up once per month - and then never comes back until the first of the next month.

This is very frustrating as I offer a lot of content on that specific website. As mentioned - I get really good traffic from MSN and Yahoo - I assume I would score well in Google, too. But no bot, no listing.

Has anyone seen that kind behavior of the Google bot? The website is build from PHPNuke and should be easily accessible for the Google bot.

The frequency of the visiting of googlebot depends on 2 factors mainly fresh content and Internal PR[Not as seen on toolbar]. Try getting new and fresh content on the home page and also try getting backlinks to the site and slowly google will be starting to take up lots of your Bandwidth.

I suppose you don't rank well at Google? I'd say your site is sandboxed, although many people around here don't believe in sandbox.
