Only if it knows it is there, either by an inlink or submission.

Google will automatically index your site but it takes long time.. so if you submit your website in google and open webmaster account for it... then it will run smoothly and indexed by google regularly...

And it's as simple as that. The pages will be indexed IF the SEs know they are there!

Google and most of other search engines will index sites automatically. We dont have to market our site to getting index. But getting index is nothing if we do not receive traffic. To receive traffic we need to have unique contents, on-page factors and backlinks.
So we need to do marketing to get better SERP.

my answer is yes.
yes Google and other engines do index them even if you don't submit them or build any links. The reason being that there are lots of automated who is sites grab data on new domain names / existing names etc to check for new registrations and/or expiring domains.

There must be some way for google bot to enter into your site to find your site, I mean either submit your site to google search engine, or atleast post 1 link to any other site which is already indexed in google.

So you really mean the answer is no then.

Because it needs to find a link first.

I've seen Google spider brand new domains minutes after registration with absolutely no established links.

It's possible Google may receive notifications from participating registrars upon new domain name registrations.

In which case the indexing would be automatic and submitting would be unnecessary.

I think it's pretty safe to say Google can afford the cost of the "wasted bandwidth".

Google automatically indexes a site once it's already live. It takes a few days to even weeks though. I think pinging a site helps.

That seems to prove beyond all doubt that most of you are actually clueless about search engines!!

Registrars DO NOT notify Google or any other Search Engine when hostnames are registered.
Some registrars publish lists of their "recently registered hostnames"

The search engines have to know that the domain exists, they do not randomly make up words and see if a domain exists, so you either tell the search engine by submitting your site to them, or you wait till it finds an inlink to your site that it can follow if it wishes to do so.

it can only be indexed if found out by Google...

to be easily found by Google, link your newly created website to another fully indexed site. that's in my own experience.
