With Google Buzz it is now easier to hide your followers/following lists. The option is now more visible in set-up process and exists in profile editing section of Buzz. Also we can block anybody who is following you. Before, you could only block people who created a public profile. Google Buzz now distinguishes between followers with public profiles and those with private profiles.

Hi,
I think Facebook will still be better than Google Buzz because Facebook is much visited than Google buzz and sometime even to Google.

Google Buzz lets you import content from sites like Twitter, Flickr or Google Reader. You can follow interesting people, flag the items you like, add comments and get notifications in your inbox. Also Buzz lets you share updates, photos, links, and pretty much anything else you'd like with your Gmail contacts.

Buzz came out at a time when social network is being dominated by facebook. Not a good move by google if you ask me.

I don't think anyone can surpass the success of Facebook right now but you never know. I mean, we all thought Friendster was the best there is until Facebook came along...

Google cant compete in many fields with other websites. Google Buzz has been started after some famous social networks and it couldn't attract most of their members. I myself don't like Google Buzz

Google buzz is much like FriendFeed, as it allows you import content from sites such as Twitter, Flickr or Google Reader. You can go behind fascinating people, banner the items you love, also you can give comments to it and obtain messages in your inbox.

google buzz is anything but the next big social networking site... hardly anyone use it. Maybe Google Me would achieve what buzz couldn't.

The same can be said of EVERY "Social Networking site". They didn't launch "big"

Facebook "launched" in February 2004 with a few dozen Harvard students as the user base, it grew fairly rapidly because it was aimed at the student population which, being a relatively closed communuity word soon spreads.
It is a ripple effect, drop a stone in calm waters and the ripples spread out quicker and further than dropping the same stone into a maelstrom.
Now, launching something similar at a much wider and diverse populace it will take longer to create the ripple effect because the Internet is that maelstrom of news, events, people, businesses all jockeying for position and attention.

So do not be writing Google Buzz off as an "also ran". It WILL find and expand it's userbase and will grow steadily, and quite possibly be all the stronger for that.

I don't think that buzz is going to be great in the coming years
Because making its place among people even with a big name (i.e. Google) will be tough till people find anything good & exclusive in it.As far as my opinion is concerned i don't find anything exclusive in Google buzz.
I prefer using facebook for social networking and stumbleupon for social bookmarking.

Google buzz is a kind of mini social networking site integrated inside the Gmail to allow the users to socialize from their Gmail account itself.
