Hi,

Hope u will be fine.I'm facing a problem so i decided to put my questions on this forum. And First of all sorry for my bad english but hope u will understand. So situation is....

I have done keyword research for my site through "Market Samurai" which says that my "3 words keyword" (without quotes) has daily searches of 5,400 and the site which ranking is number 1 in google for this keyword will achieve 2,200 visitors per day. I was very happy so i optimize my site for this keyword and now my site is at no # 6 in google for this keyword.

But afterwars i realized that something is going wrong, how can i rank no # 6 for highly searched keyword in a short time?. So i try "Micro Niche Finder" for keyword research, i was shocked to see that it shows only 200 monthly searches for my "3 words keyword". Than i realize that market samurai was checking keyword search count under broad match and Micro Niche Finder is checking under Exact Match.

Obviousally there is a big difference b.w search count of Broad and Exact match. Now my question is only is that in this situation how many visitors i can achieve for my keyword if i rank no # 1 for this keyword? If this keyword is searched only 200 time in a month globally how can "Market Samurai" can say that no # 1 site would achive about 2,200 visitors daily?

Please help me in this matter. waiting for your replies.

Regards

I think you just need to gather more tool in checking your keyword, try to use 3 tools to double the stat given by the tool don't rely on one keyword. I'm saying that you might didn't get correct info for the keyword.

Is it true that:
Phrase match is when you put the keyword in " "
Broad match is when you leave the keyword alone
Exact Match is when you put the keyword in []

if so, does "Broad Match seach count" (165,000 in this case) means number of time people search on my, 3 word keyword (without quotes or brackets) with the same wording and same order?

And Similiarly "Exact Match seach count" (200 in this case) means number of time people search on my [3 word keyword] (by putting brackets around it) with the same wording and same word order?

Phrase match "This is a phrase" means all words in exact order

Exact match [word] is that word ONLY

Broad match word will match on the word, plurals and synonyms AND "similar" phrases
so [shoe] will return (in theory) matches for shoe, shoes, boots, footwear, training shoe, etc etc.

And if you use five different tools you will get five different results.

Keyword analysis is NOT an exact science. XX searches per month does NOT mean you should get x visitors per day.

Though i never tried Micro Niche Finder, i don't think if that surpass MArket Samurai. Since i've been using MArket Samurai for a long time, i found it very usegul especially you can get an access to the volume and relevancy or the keywords.

As you yourself found, Exact match term search less than all term which contains this keyword on them.
For example maybe you find word "seo" is searching 50,000 times a day But it includes all keywords which contain seo term on them. So first site will not gain 50,000 visitors per day.
