I hope some of you guys will help a bit on this one.

I am have a Danish niche site, with landingpages optimized for a few KW.

Info about the my site.

1. Keyword in url (www.keyword.info)

2. more than 300 backlinks (according to siteexplorer)

3. more than 1000 words of unique content (on the landing page), with KW-density on 4,45 %

But still i am only ranking on page 2 in Google.

The pages on site one:
1. Either shops or sites with a small article about the keyword

2. less than 35 b.links

3. no kw in url.


WHYYYY??

My site is fully indexed

You should forget what you think you know about SEO and start learning properly.

Keep on link building your site; anyway, being on page 2 is not so bad at all.

^Hmmmmm, for most people google only has 1 page, page 2 to page 3,000,000 are very rarely looked at.

Keep on building quality backlinks other than worrying about their quantity!

With what you have done it is not expected you get anywhere on the top. You need to work more on onsite and offsite SEO.

For what keyword are you trying to get high rankings?
Some keywords are very competitive and your new site cant compete with old qualified website fast.
Maybe your keyword is one of those high competitive keywords.

Its a danish KW, but not very competitive, and the higher ranked pages, arent very qualified themselves..

The "importance" of link continues to diminish with each update that Google does.

300 baclinks is not a big number. Maybe you have to check your competitors backlinks through Yahoo Siteexplorer.

And SEO is not something that is done today, and it will give effect today. It make take time....

Another way to get more backlinks and PR is to make a really good website others actually want to link to, then you no longer need to worry about the backlinks.

This is the way Google intends it to be done I believe, anything else is kind of just screwing with the system. Age is a really important factor in PR also btw.

Personally I feel I wasted far too much time and money on getting backlinks. Of which I have tens of thousands, but I am still a PR1 site, though I rank PR1 on about 8 pages, not just the homepage.

Since I probably would have been PR1 just with age, I am pretty sure it was all just a waste of time, except that some of my links actually led to conversions, which is my true goal after all.

Don't think that whatever you have done for your site is enough for getting rankings on top page. If you want ranking on first page then research other competitors work strategy.

Because there is no way you CAN find out what they actually do. AND if you could, why you want to be forever several steps behind them?
