Hi,

Could somebody help me understand how Google ranks its listings?

I have a client whose website is listed at no 2 on pg1 of Google when i do a search from my office in South Wales. When my client does a search from his office in Essex using the same search terms he is listed on page 4 of Google.

I have used different pc's to search and get the same results. My client has asked his colleagues to search and they too have the same results as him (pg4).

This has left me scratching my head!!

Thanks
Gav

Send the screenshot of Google result to your client. Also it is possible because of the country or because of the internet browser.

This happens only when, Google returns a results by using the search history, Do just one thing, clear your web history or search on Google after logout from your Google account and also clears all your cookies and web history.. This will surely helps you..

Probably find google is getting better/or worse at localising searches by isp, or of course you are allowing google to follow your web history.
