Work on some off page SEO like blog commenting/ post, directories, article directories etc.

first select keywords for which you want to target your website. Thn try to get links through Directory ,Article,Bookmarking, Press Releases, Classifieds, Forums,Blog Commenting etc.

Use webmaster tools in targeting visitors from Google.

There has been a frequent changes in Google's algorithm that's why your sites ranking goes down. Just continue doing quality link building and have frequent updates on your site and your rankings will probably back to it's position.

My keywords went down after the release of Google Instant. Aw. Just continuing building links to my site.

I think you need to know more about SEO and other Internet marketing fundamentals. Ties that our co-members have given you is very helpful, and you should visit and read.

Just simply manage to be on the top result of your keywords and you'll definitely get visitors from Google.

You have to do on page optimization first then work on off page optimization. Depending on your backlinks your website will show in top results and then you will start getting traffic.
