I have over 10,000 pages submitted in sitemaps and it's properly submitted in Google Webmaster Tools for more than few years.

A month ago, number of indexed pages starts decreasing rapidly, from 10k+ to 4k.... We didn't change or even touch anything on site, and we're just adding more and more pages to site every day, organic content, no duplicated, nothing google unfriendly.

Our visit is same, not dropping, but still, I'm a bit worried because of this, since this number doesn't stop to decreasing and I think if continue, will come to zero in 2 weeks.

Should I have to do something?

Wouldn't let it worry you, google drops stuff then re-indexes it all the time.

So your problem is?

80% of your visitors will only visit 20% of your pages (give or take a few %). It may be a case that you have a lot of pages that don't really add value to searches, so Google has dropped them or simply doesn't list them.

^78% of statistics are made up on the spot and have no meaning at all.

I have post this thread a month ago.

The current situation is that Google remove almost all news from sitemaps. I have dozens sitemaps in index and all other are good, but just news are removed almost completely. What could be a reason?

We don't have any duplicated news, I just checked. Everything we're writing about is fresh up to dated content by several authors, which is clearly stated. We also have a contributors page with all links to articles of each author.

Some people told me it's not duplicated, but it's the content which other 100 sites has. Ok, of course, those are news, not blog posts. CNN writes about some world news and thousands other sites are writing also about it, but that doesn't means that all them should be banned.

Any help?
