I just installed a google analytics plugin for my wordpress site. I got a page to put the code in, I got the code from the google analytics and now the status reads: tracking unknown.

This is a fairly new site, i wander if I have zero visit that would cause this. Any advise?

I think he's right. Seems to me that I had to wait a while for it to kick in. But that was a long time ago.

If you installed the code correctly then it should just be matter of few hours before you see it tracking. It is not instant tracking like many would believe, google got me there and I wasted hours trying to figure out what was wrong. So just give it sometime and let us know the outcome.

Firstly it takes 24 hours that you can see the statistics of your website on Google analytics. Secondly maybe you installed the code in your wordpress with errors. You can use of free existence plugins to install this code without errors on your website.
