It is not the only factor affecting the site, so do not be too concerned about pr,

its not all about pr...there lots to more to consider about like your content, way on how to get good backlinks, how to get good conversion etc.

When Google engineers talk about PR, they are discussing REAL PR, which is the value used internally by Google.

Are you talking about ranking (the SERPs) or the Silly Green Bar?

Pagerank is one of the factors for ranking results and its not everything. You can easily see some pages on search results that are in top results but their pagerank is 1 or 2 . So its important but not as some people think.

PR is important only for those people posting on a lot of forums about buying or selling links or websites as the values of the websites might have got nothing to do with their PR values. For example if there are two websites on the first page of Google, the first one has PageRank of 3 and the eight one PageRank of 6, can we again say that the high PR holding domains would be the winners?

For me PR isn't important at all.. I'm building websites with good content and helpful for people, because of this my websites get good positions in google, this is important

I think page rank is an important way of knowing the popularity of the website.

is this thread another excuse for "SEO's" to do some more sig link spamming?
