Can anyone please tell me if this will affect my seo or not.

yeah, PR won't affect SERP, but other factors may affects your SERP(like inbound links decreasing, you may not changed anything on your site but maybe something changed at other site?)

when your PR changed, is it today?

PageRank is a Google "feature" ONLY and given that it is of no use there.....

... what do you think.

According to guidelines pagerank is one of the 200 factors google considers when ranking a website.

If you are talking for the toolbar pr, then most people only use this for selling and exchanging links.

Having a higher Google page rank does not play a significant factor in producing rankings, it does at least provide insight as a metric to specify if a page is receiving significant link flow from either internal links from other areas of your website or external links from other websites.

PR "is" used in Google's ranking algorithm. But it's the "actual" PR that matters, not the toolbar PR (which is always out of date and only updated periodically... like ever few months). But even the "actual" PR of your URL being ranked has very little impact on overall rankings. PR of inbound links "can" add a an extra punch to inbound links.

If you noticed a recent drop in your toolbar PR, that is a general indicator that you are likely getting credit for fewer inbound links or perhaps the links you have are passing you less "juice" (although the exact opposite could now be true because the toolbar PR is out of date even on the day it is published) when the last snapshot of their index was taken to build the most recent toolbar PR update.

So it "might" be an indicator that you have less or weaker links... Less links mean fewer anchor text values. Depending on which links you might have loss (or might have weakened) and what their anchor text was, it most definitely can affect how you rank for certain keyword phrases. But it's not because of the loss of PR so much as the loss of the anchor text associated with the links that pass the PR to your page.

well the pagerank is a short measure of the quality of a page. It does not have a major influence but it is an indicator of a site's authority.
But some sites just get page rank out of buying links from higher PR sites. Such PR is useless and should not be given importance.

PR is a ranking factor. But, as for SERP purpose, I think using right keywords as anchor text and quantity of back links would be more important than the quality of back links and page contents.

all the best,

14 posts on something that doesn't matter in the slightest, it's a bit like me looking out my window and there being 2 white fluffy clouds or 3, it really doesn't make any difference.

If you want to get better rank in Search Result pages then remember PR is just one
in thousands factor that effect your rank.
PR is totally not important if you want to get better rank.
But PR can be used as a indicator of your backlinking success.

Exactly, it is the Actual Page rank which is one of the important factors in SERPs. Many confuse themselves with actual PR and toolbar PR.
