It even depends on the visitors trending. Check your analytics and see the traffic trends.

Actualy the thing is that Google continously crawl the pages, once if carwled all the pages kee then in index server afetr that it cehck that hw many apages has similar content and how many pages are useless, then Google start to discart the pages on that basis.

Educate the client as to what really matters.
