For me google is this: despair.

I swear I would donate a kidney to Matt Cutts if my website ranked first for my keyword, but more than that: I am willing to work 24/7 for a year if I only knew what worked.

Please tell me that somewhere out there, there is someone that loves google and can tell me what they did?

You need to target keywords that aren't too competitive, but that people "actually search for" that pertains to your site's content.

I agree. You may use at least 2-3 worded keywords. Keywords are very important. Always remember that you should use the most related keyword/s for your site or else, your seo work will be useless.

You need to focus in 1 keyword in Link building in that way, you can gain higher rankings.

yea but go for only quality & Cached page link.

ofcourse your site can be ranked first on your keywords! It's just the matter of time. All you need is just patience and perseverance. If you dont have this, then just forget all about SEO and the fact of being ranked 1. There is no such thing as being on the first page in just an over night!

Very well said. rankings can not be gained instant. You need to work on it. Perseverance and consistency is needed.

It all boils down to sleepless nights and hard work to get number one on any keyword. If you had some money to invest that would help

There is no overnight results in SEO. So be patient enough when you are optimizing. YOur hard work will be paid off when your site starts ranking.

When I stat work on my site its PR was 2 and now it is 4.
