Hi all

I have more than 15000 pages on my website but not all of them are indexed by Google. I have no idea why, as they are very similar to the pages that are indexed.

If I do a search on Google (site:www.select-a-room.com) it shows 6,280 pages.

What could be stopping the other pages from getting indexed?

Please help!

It's just another "hotel room booking" collection of pages with absolutely no unique value at all.

Why should any search engine waste time and resources indexing such pages?

I agree with Chris.. Anyway, do you use Google webmaster tool ? Have you submitted a sitemap of your links ? If yes, what is total indexed pages showing in webmaster tool. Check this and confirm.
Google do not indexed every pages of no value. Also you should be more concerned if your pages having unique content do not indexed. In such cases, build some link to those pages.

another tips for pages indexing is update your website with new pages or content and submitting xml sitemap in google webmaster tool is also good for you

I think its mean that your keyword only exist in 6,280 pages.

Re-submit sitemap for those pages over google webmaster tool.

I agree submitting to google webmasters account will help you. While having such a huge website, you need to make up your priority pages and work for them. Rather for getting all of the pages indexed. When people land on one page. And if its worth they will navigate further.

Make your all the pages quality pages by building quality back links for all. Because Google consider only quality pages.

It's highly unlikely that google wll index ALL your sites page, especially if some of them are very simaliar. Google likes unique content, if you havent got that, then your page wont be listed

Mate google indexes fresh contents, and indexing pages which are very similar will do no good to their index, hence its not indexed, but you can try to build backlinks to the inner pages to get a chance.

Thanks guys. It's what I thought would be the answer. Just wanted to double-check I hadn't missed any new methods.

make a bunch of xml site map and submit in google webmaster tool and most important is site updating with fresh content

i heard google doesn't index similar conent

Get backlinks for each of those pages so it'll be get indexed. Some Pages are not indexed simply because there is no backlinks for those pages.

@suichiro Dude, i think it will be very difficult to get links for all 15K pages.
@stevie-g, check the internal linking of your website and try to link each page with other.
