My Blog at blogger.com is supposed to have a descent pagerank value as i have done some backlink work to it. It's indexed alright but it's not ranked. I recently wrote about 5 articles about it but my pagerank toolbar still shows no information.

Simply because it's page rank isn't updated yet. PR is updated by Google only once every 3months.

SGB PR and "ranking" have nothing at all to do with each other.

Oh and "No PageRank infomation availiable" just means the page isn't in the Google database the toolbar is reading from.

First, remember that SERPs are not necessarily correlated with PR. In my specific market, many PR1-PR2 sites do better in the ranking than PR4's. And second, Google doesn't update their PR very often, so be patient; just because you wrote a couple of articles doesn't mean that Google will increase your PageRank, if it was that easy to manipulate the system then everyone would do it.

its all about competiton. If you bought a new domain, built 1 million back links to it over the course of next year, you still wouldnt make first page for the keyword 'amazon'. Its all relative

just continue your link building process and wait till next google pr update

Getting indexed is good, as you say your pagerank bar says no pr. If its grey(says no pagerank information available) that means you are not in googles index and if it says no pr or zero pr i.e; your site is having zero pr. So, work according to enhance your site status. Include article marketing, that gives the best valueable back links.

Do-follow backlink increase the page rank. page rank provide only by google search engine. still page rank not update yet.

Do all the effort as you could do in order to increase the page rank and wait for google updation.

Really! Is that why there hasn't been an update since April? You should use mozRank anyway much more precise that pagerank

In fact, the new sites will receive PR0 in about one week after launch. However, the real Page Rank is still not updated. I think this factor will be removed from our toolbar in short time. Google don't want now to show this factor to webmasters.

However, my experience says that optimize blog in SE on blogger, blogspot.com is very hard, mainly getting page rank is hard.
