Firefox is what I use on my PC to see how well websites rank for their keywords as its what I usually get on other computers, like internet cafes, friends computers etc.

But for some reason my IE and Chrome return different SERP's for the same keywords, I notice it would return what websites I have visited in the past, like it knows my history and returns what it think I am looking for.

Is it just a setting? I would like all to be like my firefox SERP's, how can I change the other browsers to this?

I have experienced that too and I think this is just the personalization feature of Google.

to turn off the personalization feature of Google in your search results, add "&pws=0" (w/o the quote) to your search URL.

I don't think difference in browser wherein you are searching / using Google has something to do with SERP.

Yeah, that was what I am talking about.

Sorry guys, but browsers have been known to get different google datacenters based on useragent. This can often equate to different result sets being displayed.

The cookies may be influencing the results...

I agree with jim about the cookies. But if its not the reason, then maybe your gmail account being login and logout has something to do with it. when checking serp manually stay logout on your gmail account to have the most accurate results.
