The last major Pagerank update was almost 8 months ago on April 3, 2010.
There are so many people that say PR is not an important including me, but for one reason, SERP is much more important in driving non-paid traffic to a website.

Pagerank is not important, PR measures link popularity only (quantity and not quality), and has no DIRECT influence on SERPS.

I pretty much lost interest in gaining PRs ever since the update never happened after 2-3 months after the last update. Seems like google lost interest in it too.

I made a prediction some time ago that google will get rid of PR. I think that's what they are doing or they are not going to show it any more to us.

I have seen that internal pages are slowing changes to PR 0.

I wish they would get rid of it for it really is worthless.
