Hi,

We are an established company with our own website doing well in the search engine rankings.

We have purchased a similar company which is to be merged into ours. They have a website that is also doing well in the search engines.

Is it possible to redirect that website to ours?
What is the best way of redirecting the website?
Will our main website be penalized at all?

Thanks for any advise!

Yes, you can do a 301 re-direct. But make sure that all the pages of that website must be 301 re-direct to the required page.

I have an active website purchased through google applications. I can confirm that it has not expired. Recently, however, it will not be redirected to our site ... I checked the DNS information and it shows that it is redirected to the right place ...

I did everything you suggested. Got rid of all sorts of bad things. So now, Norton - Malware - Spyware and superantigens, have had their way with the team. I did everything restarts, etc. The first time something on google - i am redirected to a site (not harmful) that I did not. I do not know what I did wrong for this to happen more and more.

If you set up a 301 redirect, then your website will not be penalized.
