Usually when I see posters who have 1000+ post I always check to see if they're website ranks first for the keywords they're targetting. It's just something I like to do.

Personally I think just being able to network with other webmasters is alot more valuable than a signature link. :P But that's just me.

I still don't think you're getting it. How is bolding keywords on your page useful to your users? If it's not useful to your users then don't do it. All Google wants is to return good results and it does. Doesn't it? That's why it's the worlds best search engine.

It's not about you it's the user. Only do things that would benefit them. Seriously.

The keywords I mentioned earlier in bold are subtitles for different sections of the page.

Example:

Cancer

Causes of Cancer

Symptoms of Cancer

Treatment of Cancer

Cancer Nutrition

Help for the Cancer Patient

Emotional Support For the Cancer Patient

Cancer Information Resources

When you say I heard the keyword in bold 8 times. It literally means you would do something like keyword this keyword you get the idea?

Why? The word keyword is singular. It's NOT PLURAL. If you did what I mentioned above then that would be spamming. And that's what you asked.
