Google is the master search engine all over the world, my question is this "Google stands for?"

I've known Google since I was a baby. LOL.
Seriously, I didn't know what Google stands for so I searched it and here's what I get.

Google stands for searching ... like people use the word googling very often

in Latvia it means "angry man take cat to chicken shed and say 'lemur' four thousands times until pobjoy turns up with fruity polos"

I've been using google for so long but it has never come to my mind what the origin of the word is. But your variants are really interesting but ... I thought Google means something more romantic and exotic.

The maximum pages of results is 100! Pretty interesting.

I can say that the definition for Google on internet users today is the king of all search engines.

Google is not any dictionary word. It doesn't contain any meaning in true sense..It is just a name which has no literally meaning.

Google is something for some people in some coutries , not famous as you think . and here in my country we most use baidu.com

Wow interesting. I always assumed it came from "goggle" or "goggles" as in 'used to see through' but that was just an educated guess.

According to the corporate website, their name came from the word “Googol”, the “mathematical term for a 1 followed by 100 zeroes”.
