Hey ,all

I have several sites,

When i register a domain,and i even use this domain,then one day,
i put some comtent in it,then its alexa rank goes up very quickly,i mean ,really quickly!!!

even through,i do nothing(no seo,no promotions),then the alexa goes up quickly...

But, The real traffic of the site is still like a new site, 1-2 IP/day..

So i have questions:
does alexa rank mean real traffic of the site???
and Why?

No! Alexa traffic is more like the traffic your website got from visitors of your site with the Alexa toolbar installed on their pc.

But the alexa traffic is too much far away from real traffic...

Alexa day traffic:2000 ips
Real day traffic: 2 IPs


why?

Alexa traffic is based on the traffic gathered by their stupid toolbar from those who install Alexa Toolbar on their PC or Browser.

You're visiting your own website correct? As long as you're visiting your own website it counts to Alexa. :P

Unfortunately Alexa isn't a good measurer of website traffic. It's only accurate the lower a websites Alexa rank is.

Alexa ranking is just an approximate idea..Don't fully depend on him
