One of my friend said In google we can type any number of words. but it will take a count of ten words only. is it true ? is there any word limit for search query ? what is this ten word limit ? can any body please suggest me regarding this ?

If your words are true, that's interesting although I have never entered more than 3-4 words as a query. I have never seen keywords larger than 4 words.

Try it and you'll find out!

I do not think google search is limited to 10 words query rather it is possible that it could be limited to 250-280 characters per search box

BTW if any of you "experts" had half a clue you would simply try and find out rather posting the the usual half-assed speculation!!!!!!

As usual this is dragging up ancient history, three or so years ago there was a limit on the number of words that were included in the index search, and Google would truncate the user input at TWELVE words not TEN

Now (if any of you could be bothered to check) you would find that IT DOES NOT HAPPEN ANYMORE and all the words in the entry box are now included in the search.

I have been up to twenty words without any truncation occuring.

Chris, is almost right.......Google has a limit of 32 words, they changed this from 12 or 13 back in 2005.
