By bigger site, I mean a site with more content on it.

By floating to the top, I don't mean that the algorithm picks the site with most content and puts it first, the second biggest second etc., but that a larger site helps getting to the top.

Why would it help?
  • More content means more words, which means more keywords.
  • More content means more pages, which means more internal anchors.

So, does anyone reckon that this is the case?

Nope, dont believe that for a second.

Just because a site has more content, doesnt mean its better than any other.

This would be a silly metric to use and I highly doubt google even look at this.

Well if the new algo change by Google is any help to go by, bigger doesn't mean better. Read this.

And anyway, do a website for users, not bots. More than ever before, you'd rank better that way.
