Rivals complain that Google Inc., which handles two out of every three Internet searches in the U.S., manipulates its results to steer users to its own sites and services and bury links to competitors.

I don't think some big changes will happen. Maybe Google will buy the so-called rivals.

Wouldn't be surprised if Google did end up offering partnerships and buyouts to it's rivals.

Buying out competitive companies is a "standard" practice for giant conglomerates....
it can be profitable when ..."the price is right"....
