I have a website that has maintained a pagerank of 4 for some years. Cant seem to budge from it. What I dont understand is exactly how the google keyword tool estimates my traffic and why according to what I read that 36% is average for clicks if you are #1 in a keyword.

According to GKT I have a key word that estimates 240,000 local searches. I rank #1 on that keyword and I am a PR4 site and I only see about 80-100 clicks a day. Does that not seem right?

Your page may rank at #1 for YOU doesn't that it does for everybody.

GKT provides approximate 12-month estimates ( Local Monthly Searches ). Just because it came from Google it doesn't mean it's true and exact, word for word.

Yeah, PR has nothing to do with search engine ranking position.

SGB PR is nothing to do with traffic and traffic is nothing to do with SGB PR.

All says PR and SERP no relation. but found almost high PR sites getting high priority in Google SERP than low PR sites...

Pagerank 4 is fine, Maintaining it can be hard, you can easily sell the links on it now.

It is right, because toolbar PR means NOTHING.

It is certainly better than 0 or 1 or 2 or 3. It looks good to have high PR but what is more important is traffic as that is what matters. The more traffic, better revenue and higher PR. I would suggest to keep working on links and traffic as well.

The only way to gain a Google page rank is by having your site linked to high page rank sites. It doesnt matter how many pages your site has indexed in google , this has no effect on googles judgement for giving you a pagerank.

It doesnt matter if you have 2000+ links from other sites, if these are low quality sites then you will not recive a page rank. Its all about quality not quantity, have just 10 sites that have a page rank off 5 linking to your site, then your site would have a page rank aswell, because these sites have worth in Google eyes.

My suggestion is to find high page rank sites and add your link to these, anchor link would be best. It is also best to mix the linkin pattern up, i.e forum links, social bookmarks, articles,directorys.

For what purpose? To increase the "little green bar". Maybe this helps with SEO in India, but in the "real world of SEO"...
