like i have one of domain pretty well optimized.. and with some SEO done (backlinks, articles, and bla bla... ) is on page 3 right now (pretty tough competition), and I have another domain name (keyword domain name), which has no SEO done at all.. and also placed on page 3. and it's not only one example.. have to many..
You probably will tell.. when wtf if I'm so "smart" in SEo (and really, I'm not too advanced in SEo) so I'm asking about it here..
My concern was if it's better to create some kind of network between 2 web sites. like an external blog for main website which may help better for top listings.. or just to use old fashion way of domain parking...
Anyway.. I appreciated with advises, and I do respect your comments.

In my humble opinion there's 2 basic ways of achieving what you want:
- The quick and ditrty way
- The correct way
I use the quick and dirty for my own websites. Why...? Because if Google doesn't index the site, sanboxes it (if such a thing exists) or simply ignores it I don't care. It works however for certain projects.
The correct way is what I would always recommend to a client...
Develop "Site 1" for "ABC" content and keywords and content and "Site 2" for "XYZ" keywords and content. Yeah, it costs more, it takes longer to maintain but if a customer is serious about running an online business they need to dig deep.
I've applied this before and it's worked well.
I'm actually applying it now to 5 sites for a project and holding my breath while Google indexes and ranks the sites.
