I thought that i would share with you a site that is puzzeling me.

Site in question:

http://www.justit.co.uk/

This site has a page rank 5 but google lists no back links for it. I have been watching it for a while so i assume that it has not got this PR through the re-direct trick that some SEO's are using to fool clients.

So taking this all into consideration, why google has given this site a PR5?

Who knows. I do see 20 backlinks in 4 of G's data centers.

Google doesn't show all the backlinks it knows about, use a linkdomain: search at Yahoo to get a better idea.

I use www.marketleap.com to check backlinks and used the google toolbar. How do i check all the data centres?

Or, they might have paid Google to be at a certain position.

Yes I also saw that google shows no backlinks but then to check backlinks use http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=lin...F-8&fl=0&x=wrt

yeah i think i saw about 128 in yahoo, they didnt seem to have high page rank so i am still puzzled how they did it.

Do you suppose they paid for a link off a PR 7 or 8 site just before an update then cancelled it?

Is there any benefit in doing this?

No one knows when the update is and so I dont think they did something that sort. what they might have done is some dark seo

due to different agorithms google and yahoo use, maybe

even better ignore the green "fluff" on the toolbar. It's not accurate, rarely updated and as much use as a chocolate teapot.
