I am wondering how Google decides to cache a siteor not. My site is question has been cached at MSN and Yahoo but not by google. Googlebot visit my site very regularly, daily if not better. But the Home page is still not cached.
Does anyone here have some reasoning on this, or any suggestions on what I could do to remedy teh situation?
Thanks,

The site in question is http://www.the-party.org

The site went live at the end of January.

So if "newness" is an issue, why does MSN and Yahoo cache so quickly?

only Google has the aging delay.
Take any combination of the three SEs and none of them will affect what the others do.
You cannot compare them to each other. Each have independant crawlers, algos and datacentres.

Thanks, chrushirst, do you know what the aging delay is? Or how long I should wait to change?

Somewhere between 3 and 9 months is the concencus, my site took 5 from disappearing, 8 months from first crawl date to final emergence.

this is about the closest description I know and does reflect what happened to the new domain I have launched since the appearance of this filter. aging delay. Various "sandbox" theories abound, most do contradict each other in many respects.

However there may even be two different filters in play here as well, and that is confusing the issues.

Only Google knows for sure.
