I'm thinking about paying for some quality inbound links, but obviously I'm being a bit wary and checking things out before I commit.

I'm thinking about using www.text-link-ads.com as recommended by seochat.com.

Has anyone used them before?

They currently have an offer on for $50 dollars per month which gives you two incoming PR7 links.

PR is of little importance!

Are the links on the same topic as your site and will they bring me qualified visitors that will spend more than the cost of the links is what you should be asking.

If I was paying $50 a month I'd want something more than "tyre-kickers"

I wouldn't pay a cent for links on websites. I think it's a waste of money

At SearchBliss we have PR 6 links for sale for $28 a month on our homa page, but the fact is, a lower PR site can rank higher in the SERP's then a higher PR site. You just have to optimize your pages for selected keywords, add content, update often, etc. The older and more frequently your site is updated, the better you'll show in G's results.

You might as well submit to all the directories you can find. Pawan has collected over 250 directories for submission and I'm paying someone to submit all my links to them.

I'm currently trying out this person, if you are interested, PM me and I'll get your links to the directories.

I submit to directories manually and I think it is worth the effort. Paid textlinks does have some effect and is definitely not a waste of money. What's important is the quality of the website you are paying for the textlink.

I guess it's a matter of opinion as to what value you are trying to get from it. In many casese, for the price, they do work...
