What i find strange is the main page has a pr 3, as does, conatct us, visit us, and product range. But then Leather CAre, Wood Care, Accessories and Household each have a page rank of 4. Also, some on the sub pages from that have a page rank of 4, eg, leather ink remover.

Is there any explination as to how this has happened. Each page has the same navigation links so all internal links are equal.

There might be some external links to that pages which just gave that extra. Also the Toolbar showing 3 does mean 3.95 and 4 might be just 4.01 so you can just be glad that some are 3 and some are 4. After toolbar PR is not one of the major factor to concern with.

i tested the sub pages that you say you are gettin PR 4 but for me they came back PR0. Have you changed the file names recently? Perhaps google was updating something, sometimes you get PR fluctuations as the make adjustments their side.

There are two sub pages that have a page rank of four

1. http://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/LeatherInkRemover.htm
2. http://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/LeatherCleaner.htm

Both these products are new and the pages were only added to the website in June. Also the other main pages are page rank 4. Leather Care, Wood care, Household and Accessories.

I just find it strange that they have a higher page rank than my hompage. Especially considering the number of backlinks.

no backlinks direct to that page are picked up by google, but there are 28 for my homepage :s

Those pages are showing PR 0.

Yes, I am going by what the google toolbar says though :s

never mind, the google toolbar now displays them as 0

yeah, it is showing them as 4 on my toolbar now. However earlier they were 0 :s

What is happening ! ? :s

Stop even wondering, You aren't going to change anything. The TBPR display has always been flakey with what it shows.

Normally the page,i.e homepage, which you submit to Google is given a higher PR and the pages which are further from the homepage are given a lesser rank. The reason for which leather,wood pages are given a high PR might be that the usage of keywords like leather, wood in the title. do you remember which page which you have actually submitted to Google?
