Does anyone know if google allow you to cloak you page header information (i.e. title and keywords)? I've noticed that one of my main competitors shows a different set of keywords and page titles to each of the main search engines. Surely if this is allowed then we should all be doing it? If its not can i report them?

Is it maybe just an old cached page? If not, then no, they aren't supposed to display different content to the spiders. There's an easy way you can verify if they are displaying different content, check out this tool, you can pretend to be the GoogleBot and see what they return as a website...

As for reporting them... no idea... you'd have to check the google site for an abuse reporting address, or maybe someone else here knows.

Well cloaking is forbidden no matter title or body... Reporting them will eventualy affect them but it's ONLY EVENTUALY.
