Is there any way that on google you can trace what people have been searching for and the IP address that has searched for that specific term?

mmmm.. I don't think there is one.

Only if they land on your site.

You can get a script installed on your site to track visitors and see who they are /where they have come from, but you are not able to see which ip address last searched for x y and z because that would be an infringement on privacy. I think.

You can do the same with some of the more advanced web log analyzers... try deep log..
