Any website which is less than 6-9 months old does not get proper weitage really from Google .

Even if the website was ranked in top position than it might have happened during google dance.

Just keep on doing ethical SEO , everythign will be on track

good tip on getting out of the "sandbox"

Work on your site and make it the best it can possibly be while you are waiting for it to appear.

ok what is sandboxing, i read an article about it and it made no sense...
It said something about exclusion patterns like :-dfsdgsdsd -sdfgsdgsdfg -sdfgsdgsdg -sdfgsdfgsdfg -dsfgsdgsdg -sdfgsdfgsdfg -sdgsdfgdsfg
and then search for your keyword etc... but how do i know if i am sandboxed or whatever... I followed the article but still couldn't tell...

Also i have noticed whenever i try link:designplanet.biz in my search nothing comes up i dunno why.

i really dont think its my SEO as when the site went up i was on page 2 of google for some of them keywords and was even on page 1 for some others but i have been told this is what Google do to show you were you can be then they sandbox you

i have also been told if i get my website as a one way link on a PR7 website or a website that is on page 1 in google that gets indexed very often that it will get me out of the sandbox what i want to no is, is this true?

LOL if so how the heck am i going to get a one way link on a site like that

"sandbox" is something of a misnomer IMO.
What it appears to be, was originally a "time delay" that applied to links as Google discovered them, which held off the ranking weight so did not allow sites to come out of the starting gate with thousands or tens of thousands of links and appear at the top of the SERPs within a few weeks.
This is how the link spammers worked, and needless to say these were the first people to start complaining about this (no names mentioned to protect the guilty) and this delay was the Google means of combating the problem of their own making. Had their algo not been so sensitive to anchor text for ranking the issue would probably not occured
Matt Cutts has said that the current aging delay was not a deliberate design by the algo engineers but decided that it worked in their favour anyway so found what caused it and used it. Although it is not a good idea to take what he says as absolute fact, it can be a pointer for your own observations.

The exclusion patterns search was a way of nullifying some of the effects of various updates and soon after being discovered and published ceased to work. Quite possibly an engineers "back door" to test the effects.

so i do everything by the book well i thought i did but acording to Bompa dosnt look like i have ?

There isn't a surefire means of telling, because it may be that your site isn't delayed but your optimisation is crap

The (sort of) way to tell is if pages can be found in Yahoo and/or MSN and are ranking for competitive phrases but only in Google for low competition specific phrases from page titles (in quotes usually) on localised phrases eg: Blue Widgets in Lesotho (lets see how soon this page gets to be No 1 for that.)

link: (for Google) has never actually worked the way that webmasters expected it to,
Initially it only showed links on pages over a certain (real) PR value (TBPR 4), Then it dropped to a selection that appeared to be ones that were important (to Google), Followed by a random selection which could change from day to day. Now it's anybody's guess which will show up on any given day.
