I've had some sites up and running for about 3 months and all I'm seeing is a big ol' "0" every time I pull the sites up. One even has a back link showing to dmoz, but still zip for PR. Looking at that zero everyday can be depressing. When is this going to end! I was wondering how long it took some of you to get an actual number to show up in the tool bar. Anyone care to share?

I have a similar situation with a site I opened about 2 1/2 months ago. I try not to worry about it as long as I'm still getting high search engine rankings.

I wouldn't rely too much on the PR bar right now, it just hasn't been stable. Even some really big sites that I know googles considers important have shown zeros, so for now, I wouldn't worry about it.

This is the one showing a back link to dmoz:

illbeback.net

It gets about 100 visitors per day and has links from PR 4 and 5 sites that don't appear in the toolbar back links.

Also, this one:

Terminator Shop

Hello,
to be honest there isn't much content on your web sites and the link popularity is very low.
A link from a PR5 site to your web site results in a PR of 3 in ideal conditions (assuming it is a static link ). So everything seems to be ok, IMHO.

btw wha script do you use for you download section?

Hi,
The first one is the one I'm really concerned about. I'd say it has a fair amount of text content. The scripting is PHP-Nuke. I customized the Nuke Cops' Google Tap script mod to make the links appear more Google friendly.

Thanks for the tip. This is a low budget site so I don't want to spend money to get PR, especially when I have PR5's linking to me. If a PR5 link results ideally in 3, seems like I would have at least 2 or 1 PR?

Yeah, I've noticed my other site fluctuating a lot. Seems to have settled down now. My new ones are consistently PR0, though. Guess I should be glad it's not gray.

I created a website in February and since last 1.5 months I have PR3 with just 3 reciprocal links NONE from Dmoz / Google.

I have lots of TOP positions. If you search for seo firm, I am number 2.
