Does anyone know how to stop the google autofill feature working from a web designers point of view? I have created a form with nicely shaded form boxes fitting into the background images but when a user with google autofill turned on comes to the site it appears with ugly yellow boxes inside.

Is there a way i can stop autofill working for my website visitors on my form?

I don't know of any as Google is not altering your content either there is probably not much recourse you have.

I managed to solve it. Autofill works by recognising words in forms regardless of what input field is called. I simply replaced the text with images of words and hey presto autofil no longer recognises anything.

Sweet, that is good to know, however perhaps that could be what turns people away from filling out that form on your site.
