When is the next pagerank update?
My site has a pagerank of 0, but it seems that it should have more.
Was there one recently? or will there be one soon?

It should have been anytime the end of january according to the trend followed by Google to update Toolbar PR every quarter but they could have decided to make that event twice every year then its very hard to make a guess.

With their new big daddy project I wouldn't be surprised if we dont' see an update till they launch that on all servers...

On the other hand, there have been heavy SERP changes the past few days so maybe we'll see an update the next few days!

I read somewhere that Matt Cutts said the PR update would be independent of BigDaddy, but I can't find the link at the moment.

It has taken as long as 3 months before, so who knows.

Yepp. According to Google's history information about PR update. It is in the january end or start of february. So, It is expected that PR update will be soon.

That's good to know. Some were speculating that Google wouldn't update till the Bigdaddy project was set i place.

Google have more than one team, on the blog it even says "The bigDaddy Team" and "The Sitemaps Team". Original operations do not change when their is a increase in business activity in large companies.

So If you think it may be delaied because of the project, then think about all the other projects that have to be compleated untill the next PR update. Like the Google Payment Processor their codeing?

Also, watch out for PR being removed, as its lisanced to the univiserty? .. Will the UNI extent the lisance to use PR? Im sure i read it will expire soon?

Yep for those that consider it important I did just notice a change on my site as recently as about 15 minutes ago so the update should be under way.

Keep in mind though that PR isn't really all that important. I admit I do like to watch the green bar move to the right, but PR should be looked at more as an entertainment sort of thing at this point.

I know PR isn't really important, but I also know how important is is to many, which can then reflect positively or negatively on a site. So as long as it stays a 6, I'm happy.

Another place to check is http://www.iwebtool.com/pagerank_checker. Page Rank is an interesting thing at the moment. It's not the main thing to get you ranked in search engines, but in some ways it can still be a measure of a site's success. Moving up in Page Rank is still going to be considered better than moving down and just seeing that green bar move to the right does feel good.

And for many people Page Rank is all they know about measuring seo so you may still need to show PR growth to keep clients happy.

As long as you don't get caught up in thinking that increasing Page Rank is the be all and end all to seo.

iwebtool is not that good as it just predicts the future page rank and as usual the prediction is not very accurate. I can say this because the sochat tool shows some datacenters which are updated at some other PR then predicted by iwebtool.

I wish page rank prediction tools were more accurate, One said i would jump straight to PR6 from 0. I wish..

That's why they are called page rank prediction tools. Trying to figure out google's algorithm is too dificult when one can only guess, so that is what you get. There are "future page rank tools" that check the rank in the various data centers, which can show the future page rank of an ongoing update, but until the update is in progress, the data centers all show the same result.
