In the last few months I’ve opened some new sites to see if I can find out how page rank works, in this article I will over what I have found and you could get your page rank up to at least 6 by the next Google page rank update.
I tested 3 websites
http://www.rogem.net – PR 4
http://www.rogem.net/forums- PR 3
http://www.submitit.biz/ – PR 2
http://www.rogem.org – PR 0
The interesting things about these websites are
• http://www.rogem.net/ - has slightly poor html (Invalid) but has lots of websites linking to it, although its Meta tags are alright.
• http://www.rogem.net/forums/ - has not ‘description’ or ‘keywords’ meta tags, but it’s html is valid, it also has the same amount of sites linking to it as http://www.rogem.net/
• http://www.submitit.biz/ – has good meta tags and valid layout
• http://www.rogem.org/ - has no Meta tags, has invalid html and just in general has no websites linking to it.
From this we can tell that you get
1 PR – for having valid HTML
1 PR – for having good Meta tags
1 PR – For having 500 (Estimate) sites linking to your website.
From that I think that 1 site with a page rank of about 1 is worth about 0.002 PR.
This most likely goes up as the site that’s linking to you PR goes up.
