I use tables for my site's layout and layers to contain text and images. I here a lot of stuff about tables & layers being "not liked" by google and other SE's.
I have a feeling this is 99.99% bull$***, but could someone please clarify?
There is nothing that Tables is not liked by Google but if you can reduce the HTML by using CSS or even moving the layout to the external file your code to content ratio increases and you can move the content to the top of the page.

Thanks guys, where do people get all this crap from? It seems like one person makes a point about SEO and then suddenely hundreds of people believe it and start writing articles about it.
