Hello, during a google dance when datacenteres are not up to date.. I'm wondering how I can query individual data centeres for the PR page rank with a given url..

The program Abc-PR does it.. I just wonder how it is doing it.. Anyone have any suggestions? there must be a protocol for checking this.

Hi Devine

Yes, I also just discovered ABC-PR recently also.

It seems to do the job, but I am not sure exactly how. Maybe someone else can help.

I did read something about it somewhere. There is a hosts file in windows where you can put DNS entries which the computer checks before normal DNS. The idea is that you put toolbar.google.com into the file with the IP address for whichever datacentre you wish to query.

I think thats something like it anyway! Someone may have better instructions, though.

Yes, I have actually done that also.

I guess you can only check one data center at a time (?) which can be kind of a pain doing it this way though.
