I don't think anybody will be able to provide you with a good answer for this right now. Google's been going through some major changes, and nobody's quite fathomed it all out yet.
The way it used to work was that big sites would get the Freshbot visiting regularly and updating their listing, and then the whole database would be updated based on the actual Googlebot once a month.
Even if you are being spidered every day the site which linked to you might not be (although if it's a high pagerank it's unlikely). I think the Freshbot is used more to pick up new terms (such as the Sobig virus for example) and to update content searchability, rather than backlinks and pageranks.
