I know that PR is worthless, but didnt understand why this had happened..

I have been submitting my directory to other directories for many months now,, it got a PR 3 on the update, was pretty happy..
But i also had created a sub-domain to run a toplist on a couplpe of months ago. I done nothing to promote the toplist and out of the blue all of a sudden it jumps straight to PR5..

Why would a subdomain i have not promoted at all and that only has a few backlinks get pr5 when my directory that is linked to from all of the main directory lists and has been promoted only get PR3?

a PR6 is probably linking to it

The main reason coule be the links pointing to your subdomain are of high quality but the main domain has links from only directories which has lots of links on the page where your link is

Another odd thing is my admin page has got a pr 5, and my index still only has 3.
Im pretty sure nobody would be linking to my admin page.. The only place linking too my admin page is the index.. Which is 3.

WTF this is exactly what has been happening to me. One of my website's main page went from a two to a one and the rest of the website (subdomains) went to 4 and 5s. This makes no sense. Who would be link to the contact us page which is 5pr and the homepage is 1pr
