I read somewhere that Google said PageRank is determined by about 100 variables. Link popularity is one of them, any resource available where I can find the other 99?

a page's rank in the search engines is determined by over 100 factors - PageRank is something completely different.

Your going to be hard pressed to find any of them honestly -

and what you do find is probably based more on speculation than anything else.

I did find a site once that listed the top 15 factors or so that people speculate google looks at when returning a site for a query. I wish I could find it again, anyone have it?

Has anyone seen a correllation between a site's popularity in Google and its ranking? ie As a site results in more successful searches, its ranking gets bumped up.

Page rank is detirmined entirely by the amount of, and quality of, backlinks.

I believe it's serps that use over 100 factors.
