Dear All,

I have build my website since a year ago and I have link popularity about 3099 today (checked using marketleap dot com), most of them are in MSN. However, I just have SIX links in Google. What's happen with my site?

I have read many articles about SEO and I did all things properly but I still have poor links in Google.

Does any body can help me to solve this problem?

Thank you very much for your help

Google doesn't show all of your backlinks, Only a small selection of them.

I know google doesn't show all backlinks, but 6 does sound really low compared to the # of links on msn. I only have around 600 on msn and 26 on google which is more than you have. Not sure the answer here.

Link popularity content following terms:

1> Inbound link, cross links of sites.
2> Content term{domail name} found in other sites.

MSN link popularity includes both of above terms

Google includes only inbound links as backward links.

Do not work for Google PR. Just try to attract targeted traffic and to make your web site more visible and you'll get results within a few months.

Back links to Google means NOT just back links. However, it is ok with yahoo and MSN. Only the meaningful links will consider as back links in Google. Meaningful links means,
Link should come from higher PR.
Content of the page linking to you must relate to your site.
You should not link back to the page linking to you (Link Exchange)
Googlebot is intelligent enough to distinguish exchanged links.
Avoid link Exchanges as much as possible.
The link value of a signature is relatively less that value of a review or article.
Hope this will give you an Idea... So try to build quality back links.

If this is true, then everyone should go buy relevant text links to get high PR. Oneway links. I hope this is not true. One more way for guys with $ can have an advantage over SEO.

Keep in mind, PR is not only based on number and quality of back links.
Link exchanges might send you some visitors your way.
This is ok in short run.
However, this is very harmful in long run.
Try to understand why people exchange links.
“Just to satisfy there dirty thoughts”
That is not my word. It a part of newly introduced Google algorithm.

That is true, mostly. You dont always have to buy links, there are other ways to get links. Google doesnt encourage link exchange and that is really good. if you have good content or unique service, people will automatically link to you. One cant pay for 1000s of links form differnt domains, really.

The point of SEO is to optimize your site so that people can find it. If no one knows it exists then how can they link to it? I strongly disagree with this idea. It will ruin the search engine. Only sites that are popular now will remain popular. It’s hard for new sites to get noticed off this idea. No good new content for search results. Bias algorithms will just make the results worse.

Yes they can. If you got $$$$$ you can. That would make it really easy to cheat the oneway link idea. I am sure most major corporations have done this. That is why you see most of their dot-coms at the top of the results with 1000's of link backs. Its all about who has the most cash. This is not fair for small business.

The point of link exchanges is so that you do not have to depend just on search traffic. If Goog is penalizing people for link exchanges then that is the most stupid filter to date.

Google doesnt really penalise for exchanging links. They penalyse only for pointing to "bad neighbours". That is a must, where there are thousands for auto generated junk sites.

Yes, if you got $$$$, you can probably do anything. You can have your ads on MSN home page. You can buy links. If you think the other way around, if someone spends $$$ for advertising his site, he may have spent some efforts on the site content as well. So its not bad from a vistitors point of view, to have a high spending site among the top results.

What I was trying to say is, there could be easier ways for high spending sites, but thats not really the end of the road for others. If your site is unique, you are going to get back links. Yes, it takes time and efforts and patience.
