I started to build a download site last year.My website have 20000 softwares ,each software have one page.And then I purchased web hosting and publish my website on Jan 2006.After the google dance,Google indexed my homepage on Feb 2006.And then Google indexed some pages of software webpages. It confused me that Google only indexed 100 webpages of my website,and even less.It indexed 120 pages on March, 210 on April,159 on May,and 14 on June. Some pages which is indexed on this month will be vanished on the next month.

So ,what's wrong?

Software page: 3 or 0

PageRank is given depending on the importance of the content. If google see 1 page to be more important that the rest it will give it a higher pageranking. The best advice I can give you is to make a Google SiteMap. You can find more details about it from [ Google Webmaster tools ] once you do this google will be able to index all your pages.

i think it's normal for google . ask some question to yourself

* have build backlinks for your from related web sites
* have you optimize your site (html , meta tag etc)
