I have many pages of articles and I have two sites. I am using text link anchors from both sites. I have two choices, I can use different key words for each article risking delution of a few Keywords, or I can call the articles the same name in the anchor. This risks Key word stufffing. Are there any thumbrules? Could I repeat the Key word in the anchor and use a hidden field to put in some other words to reduce the stuffing effect?

Write your pages using natural language, Vary the text in your anchors and don't hide anything.

Will not get you far. Keep away from the SERP maniculation techniques as it will help in the long run.
