Hey guys. I was just wondering if anyone knows any tips or advice on how to optimize Adsense...I really want to pull in more revenue than I currently am.

Do you find it better having Adsense blended in with your current layout, like how this forum does it on the top right? Or is it actually better to have ads stick out?

An answer on that, tips, advice, and links appreciated.
Thanks.<3

it is better to have the ads blended and also mix them with your content as well.

also you might want to remove that "advertise in this site" link as it will make it obvious to the normal visitor that its an ad.(personally though i havent seen any difference)

have you seen thoes images near the ads? they say it's a nice way to increase CTR. Just another ways of experimenting and to play with.

Good luck to you

From my personal experience if I dont blend my ads but make them stand out they have good click thru ratio. You can check my forums and you will see that I have changed the colour of my ads text as Red and I have better eCPM then first when I use to have it same or similar colour as my site.

I'm generally of the opinion that having ads blend in is the better approach, but it really does depend on the site and the visitors of the site. The only way to know for certain is to try both and measure the results you get.

Test and measure, test and measure.
